Georgia10, and excellent diarist on Dailykos had this excellent article about Alphonso Jackson, Secretary of the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). It seems that Jackson told a group in a speech, that "..if you don't like George W. Bush, you don't get government contracts." (read the story by clicking the link to Dailykos) He went on to give an expample where he actually cancelled a contract given to a contractor who later claimed that he didn't like Bush.
Of course, under Federal procurement laws, that's illegal. So his press Secretary(Dustee Tucker) tried to explain it away....three times.....each successive time contradicting the time before....now she's on "planned leave" and can't be reached for any further comment or clarification.
