I've thought about this a lot over the years and I think I've posted on this before. But here are a few of the things I've learned over the years:
We honor those who fell in service to the country.
We mourn their loss and respect their sacrifice.
War is not glamorous.
War is not a game.

War is NOT a demonstration of a nation's collective "manhood".
